The internal `notes` field is where staff record what was conceded and to whom. The customer's own plan page needs prose it can show them, and one careless sentence in a field written for colleagues was the only thing between the two. So the customer-facing sentence is its own column, which somebody has to deliberately write. Null is the default and the common case: an agreement with no customer note still renders in full from its structured terms, it just renders without the prose.
