Every other status display on /leads resolves its description through resolveLabel() from useStatusLabels — the grid cell renderers, both filter dropdowns, and the record-view pickers. The status tab row was the one exception, rendering the hardcoded description out of LEAD_STATUS_TYPES, so an org that renamed Fresh or Grim still saw the built-in name on the tab it clicked to get there.
