Uncommitted work from a concurrent session, swept in so the tree is clean. The bulk index walked pages with totalPages set to Integer.MAX_VALUE and no ceiling, so a folder whose paging misbehaved would walk forever. It now stops after a fixed number of pages, caps the page size, and aborts once enough consecutive failures with no successes show that indexing is structurally broken rather than hitting the occasional bad message.
