The RingCentral callback puts the server's own sentence in the query string so the member's tab can say what actually went wrong — nearly always an unregistered redirect URI or an app without the auth-code flow, neither guessable from "connection failed". An unexpected exception can carry a message far longer than a URL may usefully be, though, and losing the redirect loses the explanation along with it. Truncate at 300 characters; the full message is already logged.
