MMS attachments are stored, and were not counted. They are also not what they look like: VoipMessageService encodes the attachment as a data: URI and writes it inline into VOIP_MESSAGES.ATTACHMENT_URL, so they never become MinIO objects and there is no file to stat — the measurement is the stored character length, via the conversation's org. Base64 runs about a third larger than the bytes it encodes, and that inflated form is genuinely what occupies the database, so that is what gets counted.
