loadCatalogue is reached from catalogue() on the same bean, and self-invocation does not pass through the proxy, so the annotation was decoration. The query is one scalar projection with nothing lazy left to initialise, so the shared EntityManager's per-call context is already enough — said so instead, and made the method private to keep it that way.
