Posting a remittance needs the claim it settles, and a remittance carries no internal id — only the number the practice sent. Without this lookup, applying money means reading the number off the remittance and hunting for the claim by eye, which is how a payment reaches the wrong one. Returns the claim with its lines, because payers adjudicate per line and posting is per line. 404 when there is no such number: "we have no claim with that number" is the answer somebody posting needs, and an empty success object reads as a claim with nothing on it.
