Reported alongside the KB links all pointing at one article: "when it is fixed and they will work, please let the AI chat still hover on top so you don't have to start over or lose the conversation." Every link in an assistant answer rendered with target=_blank, so following one threw the member into a second tab — a fresh document, a fresh app, and the conversation they were halfway through left behind in the tab they came from. The AI chat is a floating tool window mounted in AuthedChrome, above the router, so a client-side navigation opens the article underneath it and leaves the transcript untouched. Links into the app now do that. The href stays real, and modifier and non-left clicks are still the browser's, so cmd-click, middle-click and "open in new tab" keep working. External links are unchanged.
