The previous fix intercepted the click and called window.open() — but popup blockers and extensions can block window.open even from a direct click handler, so the link silently failed to open. Native anchor clicks with target="_blank" are never blocked. Drop the click interceptor. Keep a useEffect that re-asserts target="_blank"/rel="noopener noreferrer" on every anchor after render so the new-tab behavior survives any future DOM mutation. The NavigationInterceptor fix from b62ea7e4 still keeps the global loading overlay from getting stuck on outbound clicks.
