The kicker and the three readout labels were painted by .operator-label's own dark ink, not by the colour set beside it: a class and an sx rule carry the same specificity, so the class won on source order and the text came out near-black on the dark gradient. ContactDetailPanel already works around this with !important; a descendant selector on the hero root does the same job and covers every label at once. Both remaining tints go to solid white as well — hierarchy in the hero is carried by size, weight and case, so nothing was resting on the opacity.
