The strip now separates what a document manager IS from where it takes you. Left: Originals, Modified, Common — three views of the same documents. Right: the four icon shortcuts, then Binders and Uploads as destinations, keeping their labels and their paint. Out there they are no longer children of <Tabs>, so they set activeTab themselves and mark their own selected state — there is no indicator outside the group to do it. A painted tab shows selection with a white underline: on brown and blue that is the one cue that reads at a glance without disturbing the fill, and it reserves the 3px whether selected or not so the label does not shift when it is clicked. paintedTab also carries its own typography and sizing now. Inside <Tabs> those came from the parent's `& .MuiTab-root`; a standalone Tab inherits none of it and would have rendered at MUI's uppercase defaults.
