Maildirs were on hostPath /mnt/shared-files/email/mail — the rclone FUSE mount backed by MinIO object storage, which can't safely host a maildir (no atomic rename, no file locking, no fsync durability). Same class of risk as the MySQL datadir loss. - Add mail/mail-pvc.yaml (local-path, 20Gi, RWO) shared by postfix + dovecot (both single-replica, pinned to k1m1). - postfix + dovecot (simple and non-simple) mount the PVC for /var/mail/vhosts. - Apply the PVC before the deployments in CI + deploy.sh. Existing 41M of maildir data was copied into the PVC on the live cluster and verified to survive a pod reschedule (sage 28 msgs, briana 1, pricing 23, etc.).
