conversation.folder is always undefined because the Java ConversationEntity has folderIds (text[]) not a folder string field. This caused loadThread to call markConversationRead and then dispatch email:folder-changed with folder:undefined. The undefined caused a TypeError inside the .then() callback (folder.toLowerCase()) which was caught by .catch(()=>{}) and silently killed the mark-as-read success chain. Fix: pass selectedFolder from MessageBrowser as a folder prop into ThreadDetailView and use it in the loadThread call. Also guard the email:folder-changed handler with a null check on folder to prevent any future undefined from causing the same breakage.
