The server now refuses a prescription that conflicts with a recorded allergy, a drug the patient is already on, or a patient nobody has ever asked about allergies — and returns what it found. This renders it. A card below the form rather than an inline error, because the prescription is intact and the next action is a clinical decision, not a correction. High-risk warnings are marked: "penicillin" and "penicillin, high criticality" are not the same warning. The override field asks the question — "why are you prescribing this anyway?" — and its helper says what the answer is for. Prescribing over a recorded allergy is a clinical decision somebody may need to defend later, and the reason is what defends it. The button stays disabled until there is one. "Don't prescribe" sits beside it. A warning with only one way out is a warning people learn to click through. Warnings are cleared on every fresh attempt unless a reason is being carried, so an acknowledgement typed for one drug cannot be reused against a different one.
