The create dialog targeted the book flagged isOrgDefault, so every member's contacts landed in the one book the whole organisation could read — half of why the contacts console showed colleagues' entries. Address books are per-member now and the organisation default is not listed to anyone, so the book being viewed is the natural target, falling back to the member's first. EmailService provisions one when a member has none, so this is only null while the list is still loading.
