The unread read threw and took the whole ticket list with it — the page came back empty, which is a far worse outcome than a page with no markers on it. It is guarded now, and guarded at ERROR: the previous guard logged at warn and the silence let a dead query masquerade as "nothing unread" for a release. Degrade the feature, keep the page, make the log impossible to miss. SupportUnseenCountSqlTest moves onto the query that now decides what unread means and gains the assertion that would have caught this one: no brace may appear in native SQL, because Hibernate reads it as an alias placeholder and refuses to run the statement at all.
