The last endpoints without a screen. CANCEL, beside no-show on the day. They were one action short of each other and they are not the same thing: somebody TOLD us, so the slot is freed, it is not billable, and it does not count against the patient. Three different consequences that a single button would have hidden. The reason is asked rather than assumed. VISIT PREPARATION, beneath the day — the same desk looking a fortnight ahead. Eligibility nobody checked is a visit that gets delivered and not paid for, cheap to fix the day before and impossible afterwards. An authorisation with two visits left is treatment that stops mid-course, and the patient is the one who finds out, at the door. A visit left open holds the chart, keeps the note unsigned and keeps the encounter unbillable — usually somebody was interrupted, and the queue is how it gets noticed the same week rather than at month end. VACCINE LOT RECALL, beneath the safety queues, as a lookup rather than a queue: the question does not exist until a manufacturer or a health department names a lot, and then the practice has hours to find everybody who got it. That is the only reason the lot number is indexed at all.
