A chess window restores the game id saved in its props, and it only ever saved the id it was opened with. Play again, a game started from the empty panel and an invitation all changed the game under the window without telling the window, so a refresh brought back the PREVIOUS game, finished, announcing its result over a game that was still being played. Play again then "resumed" the real one, because the server hands back the live board between the pair instead of starting another. The window now writes the game it is showing back into its props, so a reload reopens that game. Windows already saved with a stale id are repaired on open: a finished board with a live successor (the same colleague, or the computer at the same level started after it ended) opens the successor instead.
