A dotted path (/info2.php, /.env) skips the locale middleware and reaches [locale]/page.tsx as locale "info2.php". The layout 404s it, but the page renders beside the layout, so the homepage had already fetched **************** an uncached URL, a real request per probe. APIService allows each marketing pod 30 catalogue reads a minute and then imposes an escalating cooldown (up to 10 minutes), during which the pricing page, which refuses to render without the catalogue, showed "Application error" to real visitors (BUG-1200096283021473886; 429s logged among /lu.php probes on 2026-10-07; five probes measured 8 catalogue reads). fetchPricingData now returns null for a locale the site does not serve, before any request.
