SoftphoneTool never listened for the cancelable tool:requestClose that MessageTool uses to protect unsent text, so scoring the remove goal on a minimized softphone hung up on the caller. Minimized windows stay mounted — ToolDock parks them off-screen — so the listener is live exactly when it is needed. The X button is unaffected; that is explicit intent.
