A corrected or inserted time now records WHY on the wage record rather than only in the audit log. Under Anderson v. Mt. Clemens Pottery an employer with inadequate records loses the benefit of the doubt on hours, and a record that carries its own justification is materially stronger evidence than one needing a join to an audit table to explain itself. It also lets the editor show the reason beside the time without a second query, which is what makes anyone actually read it.
