Two kinds a member can be told about and mute like any other. Both announce a condition that stays true rather than a moment that passed, so both are raised once and not again until the member dismisses the card — the query behind that rule is hasOutstandingOfKind, and dismissal rather than reading is the reset, because a member who has glanced at the bell is still looking at the card. The preference row grows two columns for the repeating tone. FALSE by default and it has to stay that way: a tone that repeats on its own is the loudest thing the application does, and switching it on for everybody who already has a settings row would make the product unusable for the people who never asked.
