A town centroid usually sits on valley ALLUVIUM while the mountains the scene draws are bedrock — so a granite-ringed desert town returned 'alluvium' and got no cliff color. When the centroid is soft AND there's real relief, also sample the highest nearby ridge and prefer its bedrock for the cliffs. GENERATOR_VERSION 3 → re-sample.
