The left column was a generic headline, a security platitude and a pile of ambient decoration (dot grid, floating orbs, a pulsing dash). Replace it with one shared WelcomePanel component: a weight-contrast Geist lockup, a hairline rule, a single line of orientation copy, and a monospaced rail that reports what is actually true about the sign-in — whether the connection is encrypted, which host you are on, and where you are in the flow. The recovery screen uses the same panel with its own copy and step mapping so the two screens stay one surface.
