Email comes from the member's primary mailbox rather than TeamMember.emailWork — that column is free text predating mailbox provisioning and routinely disagrees with the address they actually send from. It remains the fallback when no mailbox is primary. A VOIP-enabled member with an extension is published as the org's own line plus that extension, offering the toll-free number too when the org has one. Without an extension, their work phone — the only number they hold that is meant to be published. A disabled VOIP config publishes nothing, because that extension does not answer. Every lookup is defensive: failing to render a customer-facing document because a mailbox row is missing would be worse than printing one fewer way to make contact.
