The panel reported stored, added, removed and lifetime bytes against no reference at all — so an owner looking at 400 GB had no way to tell whether that was comfortable or about to refuse their next upload, and their first knowledge of a problem would have been a failed one. The plan allowance and the blocks bought are what turn those numbers into a position, so the capacity bar goes first and everything below reads against it. The bar stays green until it matters: amber at 90%, red at full. A bar that turns amber at 60% teaches people to ignore it. It also says plainly that reads are unaffected. "Storage is full" reads as "I have lost access to my files" unless you say otherwise, and the one thing filling your storage never does is take anything away. Block size and price come from the catalog rather than being hardcoded, so the "add 10 GB for $2.50 a month" line cannot drift from what is actually charged.
