SmtpConnectionRule holds the port convention createSmtpSession applies (465 implicit TLS, 587 STARTTLS, STARTTLS elsewhere only when asked for, anything else plaintext without a login), so the bulk settings page can show how a saved configuration will really connect without restating it. A test holds the session properties against the rule across the matrix.
