Setup

  1. 1In your IceWarp admin console, enable the GroupWare API and generate an API key for the account you want to connect
  2. 2In KamoCRM, navigate to Settings → Email → Provider and select IceWarp as the provider
  3. 3Enter your IceWarp server URL (your Cloud tenant URL or self-hosted host) and the account credentials
  4. 4Paste the API key generated in step 1
  5. 5Test the connection, choose which mailboxes to sync, and save — new mail with known contacts starts logging to their records immediately

Questions about IceWarp

Does this work with IceWarp Cloud or self-hosted only?
Both — IceWarp Cloud and self-hosted IceWarp servers are supported via the same GroupWare API. For self-hosted servers the API endpoint just needs to be reachable from your KamoCRM workspace.
Do I have to migrate my mailboxes to use this?
No. IceWarp remains your mail server exactly as it is. KamoCRM reads and logs conversations over the API; nothing about your MX records, mailboxes, or retention policies changes.
What API version is required?
Recent IceWarp versions with the GroupWare API enabled. If you're unsure, check your IceWarp admin console for API configuration — if the GroupWare API section is present, you're set.
Which emails get logged to the CRM?
Messages to or from addresses that match a contact in your KamoCRM workspace are logged to that contact's record. Mail with unknown addresses is left untouched — your inbox is not bulk-imported.
Is calendar sync included?
Email sync is primary; calendar and contact sync via IceWarp are optional and can be enabled per mailbox. Deeper calendar automation is a requestable enhancement on the public roadmap.
Does KamoCRM replace IceWarp, or work alongside it?
Alongside it. IceWarp stays your mail and collaboration authority; KamoCRM adds the client-facing layer — pipeline, timeline, tasks, calls, documents — fed by the mail you already send. Teams that later want a single vendor can move mail natively into KamoCRM, but that is never required.
