The column behind a report's comment thread, matching **************** — VARCHAR(36), because MEDIA_SESSIONS.GUID is itself a 36-character string column and a type mismatch on the join is found at query time by whoever is unlucky. Nullable, and no backfill. Seeding a session per existing report means writing four tables in the right order with the right guids, which belongs in the service that already knows how — `SystemBugService.ensureThread` does it on first touch. A null here means "not opened yet", never an error.
