The console adopts this response as its new state. It returned the address and `canChange` but not `mode` or `isSelf`, so after a successful operator write `mode` went undefined and the card silently redrew itself as the member's own — offering a password field and a confirmation step for an account the operator does not own, against endpoints scoped to the operator's own record. Now returns the same three fields the member-scoped read does.
