Overview
KamoCRM tracks time; Gusto runs payroll. The integration removes the spreadsheet in between. Once connected, approved timecards push to Gusto as time entries against the right pay period, employees are matched by work email so you are not maintaining a second roster, and PTO balances read back so an employee requesting time off sees the same number payroll sees. Gusto authorizes through OAuth, so there is no API key to store, rotate, or leak β you approve KamoCRM from inside your Gusto account and can revoke it there just as easily.
Common use cases
Approved hours land in payroll
Timecards that clear approval push to Gusto as time entries in the open pay period. Nothing unapproved is ever sent.
One employee roster, not two
The Gusto employee directory syncs into KamoCRM and matches on work email, so a new hire in Gusto does not need re-entering.
Hours costed to the right work
Labor allocation pushes the job or cost centre alongside the hours, so payroll reporting reflects what the time was actually spent on.
PTO balances employees can trust
Balances read from Gusto, so the figure shown when someone requests time off is payroll's figure rather than a local guess.
