Contacts (nav icon, /contacts) is a full personal address book — closer to the contacts app on your phone than to anything on a CRM lead. It only appears in your nav bar if your organization has the CRM turned on and you hold the View Contacts right, but it is a genuinely separate object system from a lead's own contact fields.
Not the same thing as a lead's Primary Contact
A CRM Lead carries its own embedded "Primary Contact" — name, email, phone — captured when the lead was created (see How to Create a Lead in Client Relations Manager). That data lives on the lead record itself and is about the person a specific lead is from. Contacts, this module, is a separate, standalone address book you build yourself: full vCard-style records with multiple emails, phones, addresses, organizations, URLs, instant-message handles, birthdays, and relationships, organized into books and groups. The two are not linked — adding someone to your address book here does not create or update a lead, and vice versa.
Contact Books
Every contact lives in a contact book. Books are personal to you — there's no way to see or edit another member's books, and each member gets a default book of their own. A book can be renamed, given an accent color, hidden from pickers without deleting it (Show in lists off), or deleted outright — deleting a book takes its contacts and groups with it.
Groups
Within a book, a group is a lighter-weight way to tag a subset of contacts (for example, "Decision makers" or "Newsletter"). Deleting a group never deletes the contacts in it — only the grouping goes away.
Contact Sources
A contact source is an external account (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Apple iCloud, or a custom CalDAV/CardDAV server) you connect so KamoCRM can sync contacts from it. As of this writing, connecting Apple iCloud or a custom CalDAV/CardDAV source works directly with a username and password; Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 do not — the dialog collects the choice and shows a note that an OAuth popup is coming, but no popup actually opens, so choosing either provider today doesn't complete a connection.
