Start a brand-new organization (Branch) from scratch β its own workspace, roles, permissions, and branding.
Before you start
- The ability to create an organization depends on the Branch Type and Security Model available to you (see Security Models and Branch Types) β these govern what a new org under them is allowed to look like.
Steps
- In the top navigation bar, click Network.
- On the Create card, click Create β (or New {Branch} in the header).
- Work through the wizard's steps:
- Type β choose the Branch Type (and its underlying Security Model) this organization will be created under. This choice drives every step after it β which apps are available, whether compliance policies apply, and what branding options you get.
- Basics β organization name, short name, and website domain/slug.
- Contact β street address, city, postal code, phone number, and a work email (confirmed by re-entering it).
- Member / Age β age-range and regulated-product settings (alcohol, tobacco, firearms compliance policies), if the selected Branch Type requires them.
- Apps β enable or disable the optional apps the Branch Type's Security Model offers; apps marked required are shown but can't be turned off.
- Logo, Colors, Backgrounds β initial branding.
- Labels, Preferences β naming/terminology and starting preferences.
- Review β confirm everything before submitting.
- Submit to create the organization.
What you'll see
A new organization is created with the settings you chose, and you can switch into it from the Network page's My {Branch}es list. Its domain may need DNS setup before external email/web access works fully β see the Setup Domain link on its Network card.
