Create a new calendar event, with its time, guests, reminders and options, in one dialog.
Before you start
You hold View Calendar and have at least one calendar you can write to (your own personal calendar always qualifies).
Steps
- On the Calendar page, click Create Event, either the button in the toolbar or the one in the left sidebar. This opens the Create event dialog.
- Type a Title. It's required; the dialog won't let you save without one.
- Set When it happens:
- The Start time and End time fields set the start and end. Today and Tomorrow move the event a day at a time while keeping its time of day and length; the quick-pick chips (15m / 30m / 60m / 2h) set its length from the start time you picked.
- Turn on All-day event if it isn't tied to a specific time.
- Pick a Timezone if the event is happening somewhere other than your own. The times you typed are read in the selected zone, so a "2pm" call to someone three time zones away means 2pm for them, not for you.
- If it conflicts with something already on your calendar, a warning under the time fields names what it collides with.
- Under Repeat, choose whether and how it repeats: every day, every weekday, weekly, monthly, annually, or Custom… with an end date or a number of times. See Repeating Events, Working Hours and AI Work Blocks.
- Add Guests if others should attend. To pick a time that suits everyone, click Find a time: it shows when each guest is busy or outside their working hours, and suggests times that work. Guests can include AI team members.
- Add a Meeting link if the event is an online meeting. It goes into the calendar invitation, so guests can join from their own calendar.
- Under Remind me, click Add a reminder and pick a preset (at the start, 5, 10, 15 or 30 minutes, 1 or 2 hours, or 1 day before) or Custom… for any number of minutes. Click a reminder's icon to switch how you're told: Notify me in the app, Email me, or Text me where your organization can send texts. Remove one with its ×. Leaving this empty is a valid choice: it just means no reminder fires.
- Under Calendar, choose which of your writable calendars the event lands on, and optionally pick a Color for it (it defaults to the calendar's own color).
- Add a Location and a Description if useful.
- Turn on Private event if you don't want its details visible to anyone else who can otherwise see this calendar. Others then see only that you are busy.
- Click Create.
What you'll see
The event appears on the calendar you selected, at the time and with the options you set. Guests are invited once you save; see How to Invite Guests to an Event.
An event made from something else, such as a task's due date or a lead callback, has a button to open that record: Open checklist, Open lead or Open.
