Note: the Settings landing page card for Chat is titled "Overview" and links to a tab that's actually a placeholder ("Coming Soon"). The real, working feature is on a second tab called Web Chat, which doesn't have its own landing-page card — go to Settings → Chat and switch tabs once there.
Create an embeddable chat widget for your website, offering AI chat, live support hand-off, or both.
Before you start
The Manage Chat Settings right, and your organization must have Chat enabled.
Steps
- Go to Settings → Chat, then switch to the Web Chat tab.
- Click New integration.
- Fill in:
- Name — required, e.g. "Marketing Site."
- Website origin(s) — required, comma-separated, each starting with
https://(e.g.https://acme.com,https://www.acme.com). The widget's key only works on these exact origins. - Modes — enable AI chat, Live Support, or both (at least one is required).
- AI Sales Agent (optional) — assign one now, or leave it unset and assign one later from Customize design.
- Click Create.
- A reveal dialog shows your full Site key and a ready-to-paste Embed snippet — this is the only time the full key is shown; copy both now.
- Paste the snippet just before the closing
</body>tag on every page you want the widget on.
To get the snippet again later
Click the code icon on an existing integration's row — since the raw key can't be recovered, this shows the snippet with a placeholder in place of the key (which starts with the prefix shown, to help you find your saved copy).
To pause or remove an integration
Toggle the Status switch to deactivate it without deleting it, or click the trash icon to delete it outright — deleting immediately revokes the site key, and the widget stops working on any site still using it.
