A colleague can see something you can't. This is the most common question anybody has about KamoCRM, and there are only four answers.
1. Your role doesn't permit it
The usual explanation. Permissions in KamoCRM don't grey things out — they remove them. A screen you don't have permission for isn't there at all, which is why it looks like it doesn't exist rather than like it's locked.
What to do: ask an administrator which role you have and what it includes. Security Roles Explained covers how roles work; How to Assign a Role to a Member is what they'll do about it.
2. The feature is switched off for your organization
Most areas can be turned on or off for the whole organization. If nobody can see it, this is why rather than a permission.
What to do: an administrator checks under Apps and Features. How to Turn Apps and Features On or Off. Note that a feature can also be unavailable to switch on at all, depending on your plan — What Controls Which Apps You Can Turn On.
3. Something upstream hasn't been set up
Some screens are genuinely empty until something else exists. The Leads screen needs a market before a lead can be created. The social posting screen has nothing until an account is connected. Analytics shows nothing until the tracking code is on your website.
What to do: each area's landing page in this Help Center lists what has to exist first.
4. It isn't built yet
Occasionally a button exists and does nothing — a feature that's been designed but not finished. Rather than pretend otherwise, this Help Center says so where we know about it, and the affected articles name the specific button.
What to do: if the article for that screen mentions it, that's your answer. If not, report it — How to Contact Support.
How to tell which one it is
Ask a colleague who can see it whether everybody can. If some people can and others can't, it's a role. If nobody can, it's the feature switch or the setup. That one question resolves it almost every time.
