Compose, address, and send (or schedule) a branded email campaign to leads, accounts, applicants, an uploaded list, or hand-entered addresses.
Before you start
- Your organization needs a bulk email sender configured first (Settings → Email → Bulk Sender). Without one, the workspace shows "Connect a bulk email sender" instead of a campaign list.
- You need the Manage Bulk Email right (Manage Bulk Email) to create or send a campaign; without it you can only view existing campaigns read-only (View Bulk Email).
Steps
- In the left sidebar, click Marketing, then the Bulk Email tab (or go directly to
/marketing/email). - Click New Campaign. The editor opens on the Compose step.
- Compose: give the campaign an internal-only Campaign name, write a Subject line and Message, choose a Signature (none, company, department, or your own), and pick the Audience scope (Entire company, a Department, or yourself as a Team member) — this sets the default sender identity. Insert merge fields (like a recipient's first name) with the token picker; they're filled in per-recipient at send time. An unsubscribe link and your org's postal address are added automatically.
- Recipients: build the audience by pasting Lead, Account, or Application IDs (Add from Leads / Accounts / Applications), uploading a CSV/TSV/spreadsheet (map its email and name columns; extra columns become merge fields), or adding addresses manually one at a time. The recipient grid dedupes addresses and flags invalid ones.
- Sender: confirm or adjust the From name, From address, Reply-to address, and the physical mailing address required by anti-spam law — these default from your chosen audience scope.
- Schedule & Pace: choose Send as soon as I finish or Schedule for later (pick a future date/time in your org's time zone), and a delivery pace — All at once, Evenly over a window (set the window in minutes), or Naturalized (human-like) — to protect sender reputation, with an optional Max per hour cap.
- Review & Send: check the preflight summary — it reports how many recipients are ready to receive the campaign and why any were skipped (masked for privacy, opted out, invalid, or duplicates). Resolve any blocking issues, then click Send now or Schedule campaign.
You can also click Save Draft at any point to stop and finish later without sending.
What you'll see
A sent campaign moves to Sending status and appears in the campaign list with a live progress bar (Sent / Queued / Failed / Bounced / Suppressed counts, updated in real time). A scheduled campaign sits in Scheduled status until its send time arrives.
