Before you can take commission money out, your organization needs a Form W-9 from you. It is the tax form that tells them who to report your payments under.
Your commission keeps adding up the whole time. You can always see your balance. Only withdrawing waits.
Where you will see it
On your profile, open Commissions. A Before You Can Withdraw card sits above your balance, and the Request Withdrawal button says why it is waiting, with a button to fix it.
The card shows three steps: Not Started, In Review and Done.
Fill it out in Kamo (fastest)
- Click Complete Form W-9.
- Choose Fill It Out Here.
- Fill in the form and sign it. Then confirm and finish.
You can withdraw as soon as you finish.
Upload one you already filled out
If you already have a signed W-9:
- Click Complete Form W-9.
- Choose Upload One I Already Completed.
- Click Upload My Copy, then add the file or a clear photo of every page. On a phone you can take the photo right there.
- Finish to send it to HR.
HR checks it before withdrawals unlock. The card says In Review while they look. If something is wrong, HR sends it back with a note and you can fix it.
If it expires
Some organizations ask for a new form every so often. When yours runs out, the card says so, and you fill out a new one the same way.
Still stuck?
Ask your HR team. They can see where your form stands and help.
