A unit price is a MONTHLY rate, so the term multiplies it

The engine treated an option's line-item sum as the price for the whole billing period and divided down to reach a monthly figure. It is the other way round. Platform-wide, a unit price is per-seat-per-MONTH — a longer commitment lowers the number but never changes what the number means — and what one invoice collects is that rate MULTIPLIED by the months in the term. Dividing is always wrong. **************** and generateInvoice carried this same inversion until 2026-08-30, an annual $59 seat reporting $4.92 of MRR; the note left on that fix said to assume the same shape elsewhere. This was elsewhere. Q-2026-0021, which exposed it: 65 seats at $119, $109 and $99 a seat a month. The annual option quoted $7,410 — one month of itself — where the year is $88,920, and the three-year quoted $6,760 where the term is $243,360. No option, however long, could show more than a month, so the quote's total was the monthly figure whichever alternative was chosen. The option-level discount now applies to the period subtotal rather than the monthly rate: that is the figure staff are looking at when they type it, so "500 off" means 500 off this invoice. perSeatSaasQuoteWithThreeTerms is the proof this is a reading, not a change of arithmetic: its inputs move from $504 and $420 "a year" to the $42 and $35 a month they always meant, and every assertion in it passes untouched.
