When an uploaded file's bytes matched an existing ImgDat, the dedup path (register-existing) reused that dat verbatim and never ran the conversion pipeline. If the reused dat was never converted (e.g. uploaded before the e-sign conversion feature existed), the new document stayed isConverted=false, so the doc-manager "edit for e-signature" action was disabled with "Document not converted". - register-existing now triggers the same async convert+thumbnail pipeline used by /upload whenever the reused dat is not yet converted. - add /backfill-conversions internal maintenance endpoint to convert existing unconverted dats (mirrors /backfill-thumbnails).
