Without slave propagation the pod captures the FUSE bind mount once at container start; if rclone-mount.service restarts on the host, the pod keeps pointing at the now-defunct FUSE connection and every write to /mnt/shared-files fails with ENOTCONN (Transport endpoint is not connected) until the pod itself is restarted. Symptom seen on k1m1: auto-cert "Lock acquisition failed: [Errno 107] Transport endpoint is not connected" on every check, blocking certificate issuance for any new FQDN.
