Same problem the inbound Answer button had: clicking Call kicked off the SIP INVITE round-trip (1-3 seconds) but the button kept its idle "Call" appearance the whole time, looking frozen. The hook already exposes isConnecting; the UI just wasn't reading it. The primary action button is now a small state machine: idle → green "Call" gradient (clickable when a number is entered) connecting→ blue "Calling…" gradient with a spinning ring icon, an animated ellipsis, and a horizontal shimmer overlay; button is disabled and aria-busy in-call → red "End Call" gradient Background, shadow, icon and label cross-fade with a 350ms ease so the transition feels intentional rather than abrupt. Backspace and Clear buttons hide while connecting so the action area stays focused on the spinner. The shared @keyframes (softphone-spin, softphone-dots) defined for the inbound overlay are reused; only one new keyframe (call-pulse) is added for the shimmer.
