The Google Cloud Storage model download bucket (bergamot-models-sandbox) returns 404 for all files and the firefox-translations-models repo was archived Dec 2025 without the required language pairs. Bergamot cannot start until working model sources are found. Key changes: - replicas: 0 (syncs repo with cluster reality) - Image: mozilla/translation-service (proper HTTP server, not WASM library) - Health probes: TCP socket (service has no /health HTTP endpoint) - Port: PORT=8080 env var (service defaults to 8000) - Init container: exits 1 with a clear TODO comment LibreTranslate handles all 13 affected locales in the meantime.
