The launchpad's first band was costing more height than it earned. The page container's uniform inset gave the masthead a 40px top gutter, and the header carried another 32px below it, before a single card appeared. The top inset now runs shallower than the sides (the sides keep the full gutter, which is what holds the cards off the viewport edge), and the header's bottom margin comes down to match. Roughly 32px back at desktop widths. Both sides of the row also move to the bottom edge. The right-hand column is a stacked trial pill over the shortcut row, so it is the taller of the two while an org is trialing; centring the pair against it floated the logo above the line the shortcuts sit on. flex-end keeps the logo and the shortcut row on one line however tall that column happens to be.
