Fold a duplicate account into the account it's a duplicate of, moving its leads, orders, documents, and members onto the survivor.
Before you start
The Merge Accounts right (Merge Accounts), or god-mode access. Without it, the Merge button doesn't appear on the Account Browser toolbar.
Steps
- On the Account Browser (Accounts tab), select exactly two accounts using their row checkboxes.
- Click Merge in the toolbar. (If fewer or more than two are selected, you're told to select exactly two.)
- In the merge dialog, choose which account survives — the other becomes the duplicate that gets folded in.
- Optionally check:
- Keep Stripe from loser — keep the non-surviving account's Stripe association instead of the survivor's.
- Keep primary member from loser — keep the non-surviving account's primary member instead of the survivor's.
- Click Merge (labeled with the confirm action) to complete it.
What you'll see
The surviving account gains the duplicate's leads, orders, documents, and members. The duplicate is deactivated, not deleted — it drops out of the Account Browser's active list but isn't erased from the database, and the merge itself is recorded in both accounts' History. This is the only supported way to consolidate two accounts; there's no way to undo a merge from the UI.
