The Client Relations Manager — CRM for short — is where you keep track of the people and companies you do business with, from the first time you hear about them to long after they've bought something.
Two records do most of the work. A lead is a person who might buy from you. An account is a customer relationship you've established. Everything else in this section exists to move people from the first to the second, and to keep the record straight once they're there.
What you'll find here
- Leads — creating, working, assigning and searching leads; what a status means; how leads get shared out across a team.
- Accounts — the customer record itself, its documents, its people, and the leads, quotes and orders attached to it.
- Markets and Fields — the categories your leads are filed under. An administrator sets these up before anyone can add a lead.
- Vendors and Products — where your leads come from, and what they're interested in.
- Importing Leads — bringing leads in from a spreadsheet, and re-importing rows that failed.
- Automated Lead Intake — letting a lead supplier send leads straight into KamoCRM, with no spreadsheet in the middle.
- Status Labels — renaming the stages a lead moves through to match the words your team already uses.
- Custom Forms — extra questions you want captured on a lead that aren't part of the standard record.
If you're setting this up for the first time
The order matters. Markets, then Vendors and Products, then lead credit allotments — a lead can't be created until there's a market to file it under and a vendor to credit it to.
