Create a new commerce Account, either standalone or pre-filled from an existing Lead.
Steps
- From the Account Browser, click New Account — or from a Lead's detail page, use Assign Account → Create New Account (this opens the same form pre-filled and pre-linked to that lead).
- Fill in Contact Name: at minimum a First Name and Last Name; Prefix, Middle, and Suffix are optional. If you started from a lead, click Copy From Lead next to this section (or Copy All From Lead at the top) to pull the lead's primary contact name in automatically.
- Enter an Email — required.
- Enter Phone Numbers — Personal and/or Work, each with an optional extension and an Allow text toggle.
- Enter a Company name, if any — optional.
- Enter an Address — street lines, city, state/province, postal code, and country; check Use as billing address too if it doubles as the billing address.
- Confirm the Currency — it defaults to your organization's currency but can be changed per account.
- Click Create Account.
If you're working from a lead, each section above has its own Copy From Lead shortcut, or use Copy All From Lead once at the top to fill name, email, phones, company, and address together in one click.
What you'll see
The new account is created and, if you started from a lead, automatically linked to it (if the link step fails, the account still exists — you're told to open it and link it manually rather than losing the account). You land on the new account's Overview tab.
