TimecardService is ClusterIP with no ingress, so without this route the whole feature 404s in the browser while every service is healthy and every build is green -- the exact failure that has already happened twice on this platform. No authorization here, deliberately: this layer is transport, and a half-check would invite the belief that it is a control. forwardToApi owns the query string. A 204 is returned as 204 rather than being passed through .json(), which throws.
