See who changed or downloaded a specific document, and when.
Note: this is an activity log, not version restore
The History tab shows that a change or download happened (action type, timestamp, member, IP address, and — for changes — a short snippet of the previous value). It does not let you preview or restore an earlier version of the document's content.
Steps
- In the Document Manager, select exactly one document using its row checkbox — the History tab is disabled until exactly one is selected.
- Click the History tab.
- Review the two panels:
- Changes — every recorded change action, each with a timestamp, the member who made it, their IP address, and (if available) a snippet of the prior value.
- Downloads — every time the document was downloaded, by whom, and from what IP.
- Use the Prev/Next buttons and the page-size selector under each panel to page through longer histories.
What you'll see
You get a full audit trail for the document without leaving the Document Manager.
