How to Manage Training Assignments

Track progress on assigned courses, and act on an individual assignment — extend a due date, resend a reminder, waive it, or let someone retake it.

Before you start

• Manage Training right.

Steps

1. In the nav bar, click Human Resources → Training tab → Assignments sub-tab.
2. Filter by course and/or status (Pending, In progress, Awaiting grading, Passed, Not passed, etc.).
3. On a row, use the available action:
   • Send a reminder — resends the assignment notification email. Rate-limited to once per minute per row, so repeated clicks can't send duplicate emails.
   • Extend due date — pushes out the due date for that one assignment.
   • Cancel — cancels the assignment (requires confirmation).
   • Excuse (waive) — marks it excused by HR without the member completing it (requires confirmation).
   • Request retake — grants another attempt to someone who failed and is out of attempts (requires confirmation).

What you'll see

Each action updates that assignment's status immediately in the grid. A cancelled or excused assignment shows that state on the member's own Assigned Training list too, so they know it's no longer something they owe.
